Red Grange (1903-1991) was a phenomenal football player of the 1920s and ’30s. He grew up in Wheaton, Illinois and attended the University of Illinois at Champaign. In November 1925 he joined the Chicago Bears professional football team and through that association has been credited with legitimizing professional football and securing the future of the National Football League.
